Workshop description Novice Tops & Dominants This workshop is specifically for Tops & Dominants, both male and female, who have less than 2 years practical experience in the lifestyle. (Sitting in the basement with your online slave for the last three years doesn't count here…) Topics we'll cover include: 1. How to accept service - and what to do when you get it 2. How to learn what you want to learn, while still maintaining your position (with a focus on mentorship, informal and formal learning) 3. How to discover your role, how to express it, and how to find your match 4. How to find support within your community when it feels like you are a pillar in an ocean 5. What are your responsibilities in play, what are your responsibilities in a relationship, and what are your responsibilities in the community 6. How to negotiate well with a novice, or experienced partner 7. Accepting your desires and embracing them (aka "mom told me never to hit someone"…) 8. What you can expect to get out of play, and what your partner might be expecting 9. How to build and encourage the kind of behavior you expect from your partner 10. Playing without a partner 11. Being dominant doesn't always mean getting everything you want. This workshop is designed for Tops, Dominants, and Switches. We encourage others to join who are willing to stay on topic, and be productive. There will be no "I am more experienced than you" rhetoric and no "I am more Domly/ a better top/ etc than you" bravado. This class is loosely structured, and discussion and Q&A is highly encouraged throughout. This workshop is upcoming.
