Workshop description Emergency First Aid for the Dungeon… Are you playing as safely as you could be? Are you prepared for dungeon accidents or play emergencies? We’re lucky in that the ‘big oh-oh’s’ very rarely happen – but part of playing safe is being prepared for the risks you might encounter. P3Gatherings is very happy to announce that we’ve found a willing, skilled, experienced First Aid presenter who is willing to teach a Certified Emergency First Aid class – just for us kinky people! This workshop will be of interest to ANYONE who does not already have First Aid Certification or those of you who wish to be re-certified. As a bonus, the entire class will be devoted to those in the lifestyle, and the instructor is lifestyle aware-friendly-and active! You can ask the questions exactly how you want to ask them… without having to “rephrase” a situation into a Vanilla perspective. Tops – bottoms – switches – event hosts – Dungeon monitors – this workshop will be useful for everyone. Topics include: Emergency Scene Management choking shock and unconsciousness severe bleeding and one and two rescuer CPR for an adult casualty heart attack & stroke angina asthma hyperventilation anaphylaxis Later in 2009, we will also be hosting a Dungeon Monitor workshop. For those of you who would like to learn more about how to be an efficient, effective dungeon monitor, we HIGHLY encourage that you attend this First Aid workshop as well, particularly if you have not had any other certified Emergency First Aid training. This workshop will take place on April 26. The class will start at 9am and finish around 5pm (depending on questions, etc) Because our instructor is donating her time, the cost for this workshop is significantly reduced if you were to take it through regular channels (St. Johns Ambulance, Red Cross, etc which range between 90-95$ per person or more). We are offering ‘Early Bird’ tickets for 60$. After March 18th, tickets will be 75$. Please remember tickets are non-refundable, and your ticket price covers supplies provided by our instructor as well as location rental, etc. This is more than just a 2-hour workshop on Lifestyle First Aid… this is a full all-day long class, and is limited to only 18 people. If you would like to participate, please get your tickets SOON. No tickets will be held (it’s just not fair to everyone else) and no tickets will be available at the door. Our location is, as always, available to ticket holders only. You’ll receive the address with your ticket, and will receive an email prior to the workshop with a repeat of the address and a map. Tickets are available through our regular routes : talk to one of our organizers in person at the Monday night munches – send us a cheque via snail-mail (but please give yourself enough time for it to arrive…) – or electronically through Paypal (a good option if you want to use a credit card). If you choose to pay by paypal, there is a small 5$ surcharge to cover what paypal charges us, and please remember it takes a few days to set up a paypal account if you don’t already have one. If you have sent us funds by paypal before, please confirm that tickets are available before transferring funds for this event. Once this workshop is sold out, we can not add any additional seats, regardless of our location, however we will accept individuals for a wait-list, should any of the existing ticket holders be unable to attend the workshop. In order to prepare for this workshop, our last day that tickets will be available will be April 17th. Please note – there will NOT be a play party after this class.
