Welcome to the P3 Gatherings website!
P3 is a group in Calgary, Alberta Canada, and puts on events around Calgary for adults who enjoy the BDSM lifestyle. Please proceed no further if you are under 18 - but come on back once you are!

Why teach?

Do you have a particular skill, but are wondering WHY you should teach a workshop or lead a discussion?

Unlike the Leather Lifestyle, the D/s and non-leather communities do not have an established, strong, consistant tradition of formal mentorship. Due to this lack, it has become much more necessary to find another way of educating one another.

By creating a more educated community, we have a better chance of creating a stronger, safer, and more cohesive community.

By educating one another, we also have a better chance of meeting more compatible partners!

If you are in Calgary from out of town and want a chance to share some of your community’s unique skills, as well as meet a great group of kinky people. In town for business? Isn’t a workshop a better way to spend a Wednesday night than in a hotel room? In Calgary to visit family? Wouldn’t you rather talk about bondage with a group of kinksters than needlepoint with Aunt Martha?

Educators may also enjoy:

Practicing presentations for "high profile" events
Establishing a reputation of being knowledgeable, as well as being willing to share his or her knowledge
The opportunity to promote personal interests such as businesses or organizations. (Although workshops are not meant to be commercial ventures, your interests are often those of your audience as well, and your involvement can be informative and promotional to a ready and interested audience.) For instance, a speaker who comes to talk about a tradition of leather contests, could easily also promote a local title holder's fundraising to attend an international event.

Helping create a healthy, positive, productive community

	Current P3 News: September 26 , 2010: Our October Bondage Intensive has been cancelled. Our next workshop will be November 24th, and will be a repeat of our BDSM 101 workshop. Looking for tickets? - For the 2010 year we are only selling tickets at the door until further notice. You will have to ask to be added to our guest list to be sent the location address.
