Workshop descriptions Master/slave Relations -- A Corporate Approach It takes more to being a Master than wishing it to be so. This presentation explores who you are as a Master; what you bring to the table to offer a slave, and what you may want the slave to bring to you. This book also explores the roles each of you envision in your relationship. We go on to explore ways to nurture the relationship, and how you can bring some business-world skills and techniques to bear on your personal M/s relationship. Erotic Fire Play Fire play is a high-drama scene in the BDSM world. It is considered to be edge play and requires an individual mentor for successful mastery. Through live demonstration, Rubel explains the physical phenomena of endorphin and adrenaline rushes as well as some psychological "mind-fuck" techniques. In this presentation, he demonstrates the use of flash cotton; devil's fire (hot needles touched to the skin's surface to produce endorphin release); alcohol wanding and fire glove, cupping and BDSM wax play with close attention to safety procedures. Communications and Problem Solving in an M/s Relationship This is a brand-new workshop developed by Robert Rubel to accompany his recent publication - Master/slave Relations: Communications 401 — The Advanced Course. Topics included in this workshop will include Dealing with Emotional issues, Communication Theory and Practice, Intricacies of Communication, Different ways that Masters and slaves communicate and the infl uences that gender roles have on some key forms of communication. The latter part of the workshop focus’ primarily on Problem Solving – introducing concepts, theories, and practices that will create a new range of options for you and your partner when it comes to communicating more effectively within your M/s relationship dynamic. Plastic Wrap Mummification and Sensation Play The program opens with a safety review and with a brief show-and-tell of alternate wrapping materials including duct tape and latex bands. The importance both of using food-safe plastic wrap on a body and of preventing skin from touching skin during the wrapping process are stressed. Once the bottom is safely mummified, the audience learns how to tease and stimulate her/him with toys that pinch, poke and abrade. Protocols -- a Way of Making Relationships Special Protocols reinforce the Master's personal values, give structure to the family, and provide the Master and slave the opportunity to celebrate their unity through service. A common base of understanding about Master/slave Leather protocols is introduced and terms are explained. Rubel demonstrates some of the rituals and routines, including formal dining, that are used daily with his slave whose role is described as Personal Assistant. Time permitting, the audience is encouraged to share their personal protocols and why they have chosen them.
